The First Step - A Complete Assessment

A healthy diet and regular exercise play an integral role in any successful weight loss plan, but they are not the only factors. Other key issues include the potential identification of food intolerances and/or other digestive issues, mental-emotional concerns as well as hormone imbalances. Identifying whether or not these are an issue for you will go a long way to help not only lose the weight, but also keep it off in the long run. 

During your initial assessment all of these potential issues will be assessed along with a complaint-oriented physical exam, waist to hip measurements and body composition testing.  If additional testing is indicated over and above what has already been performed, we will advise you accordingly.  Additional testing may include comprehensive hormone testing, relevent nutrient and other metabolically-based blood tests and/or food intolerance testing. The relevance and pro's/con's of each will be discussed so that you have a thorough understanding about how each test can be helpful to you.

A Customized Treatment Plan

Once the core issues have been identified, your Naturopathic Doctor will formulate a treatment plan based on the most up-to-date information available regarding the best lifestyle and nutrition and supplement practices. This will include one or a combination of the following:
