Inner Child Work
Inner child work is where the therapist gently guides the client to their emotional experience during the time period of the primary wounding; childhood for many people. When emotional needs are unmet, it’s common to shut off from the sadness, despair and loss associated with this – which can show itself in relationships, mental and emotional health as an adult. Inner child work is a powerful tool that frees and releases hidden emotions within that can lead to all kinds of problems if not dealt with.
Inner Child Work is designed to sensitively and positively deal with these events by healing; not re-traumatizing; enabling the client to take back control of their thinking, their behaviours and as a result... their lives.
