FOCUS AREAS

Massage therapy treatment aims to develop, maintain, rehabilitate or augment physical functioning, relieve tension and pain as well as enhance the well being of the client. Your massage therapy treatment will have a therapeutic effect and improve your health by acting directly on the muscular, nervous and circulatory systems.

Outside of the massage therapy world, Jaclyn has worked as a veterinary assistant since 2001. She has a special passion for animals and feels that they can make any persons life happier by giving their unconditional love. She encourages any animal stories her patients would like to share; the good stories always make her day! Jaclyn is also interested in all aspects of natural health including regular exercise and being active daily. Some of the things she enjoys most is spending time with family and friends and listening to her favourite music.

Registered Massage Therapist

Marlena Tubielewicz

Since graduating from ICT  Kikkawa College in Toronto in 2005 as an RMT, Marlena has been privileged to help many patients/clients on their journey to recovery and wellness.  She approaches her craft with passion, integrity and professionalism. The 2 year College program and hands on work experience in treating different conditions, pathologies, as well as the desire to constantly upgrade her skills has made her a very dedicated and knowledgeable therapist. She is also a  member of Registered Massage Therapist of Ontario Association.

Marlena treats each client as an individual with unique problems, needs and goals. Her treatments are specific and individualized and, because she is a firm believer in self-care, she provides remedial exercises in addition to her massage.

More often than not, a combination of physical, emotional and mental stresses alters the neuromyofascial  and skeletal structures, creating a physical change, which itself generates further stress, pain, joint restriction, general discomfort and fatigue.  A chronic stress pattern produces long-term muscular contraction, which if prolonged, causes energy loss, mechanical inefficiency, pain, internal pathology.
In addition to a classic Swedish Massage, Marlena  uses Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy as well as the use of remedial stretching  which enhance her ability to help others in a substantial way.
The human touch involved in Massage Therapy has a healing effect that is not explainable but can only be experienced

What to Expect on Your First Visit

Your massage therapist will require you to fill out a health history form. Afterwards the therapist will begin by asking you general questions to establish what areas you would like worked on, if there are any conditions needing to be addressed and to determine if massage is appropriate for you. Your massage therapist may perform certain assessments and testing to evaluate your condition, and to see if you have any presenting complaints.
